Our Story starts with a mutual dream between a father and daughter to share their craft with the world.
At first, the idea of blending a hair salon with a shop selling artisan wood creations seemed too far-fetched to be able to achieve. After many summer nights of collaborating next to a fire, it increasingly made more sense. We both have a mutual appreciation for one another as an artist and an entrepreneur and knew we could unify our vision to create something amazing.
Through inspiration and hard work, we collectively established our purpose and made LiveEdge Salon & Local Artistry a unique combination of salon services and handcrafted woodwork.
Bringing in local vendors to include artistically handmade items add to the talent and creativity that radiates from LiveEdge.
Whether you want to maintain your look or try something new, we are always prepared to deliver excellent service for all of your hair care needs and desires.
We believe in creating an “experience” and not an “errand”. With our Beverage Bar, High Fashion Magazines, completely comfortable and relaxing Shampoo Station, and our tranquil ambience, your next appointment can’t come soon enough.
LiveEdge is proud to use Surface hair products. Surface is high performance, salon exclusive hair care that respects personal health and the earth.
Surface products are made with sustainably harvested organic botanicals and are sulfate free, gluten free, paraben free and vegan.

As a kid Nigel grew up always living near the woods. He built forts, bridges, tree houses, and stick huts. Him and his family always lived on farms and there was always things to fix, build, rebuild and mend! Building with wood has always been a part of his life.
He started as a General Contractor in 1984 and has been in the construction industry ever since. He had a cabinet shop for many years and enjoyed building cabinetry, built-ins, and furniture.
Since purchasing property in Beavercreek, OR, and moving from town to the woods, his interests have shifted from dimensional lumber to the beauty of the natural wood, also called Live Edge wood. He walks his lands and imagines artful pieces to make out of dead and fallen trees. He scours clear-cuts before burning, or gathers wood from arborists who cut down dead trees. Nigel’s art is always evolving and custom orders are always accepted.
Our Local Space is a gift shop of locally hand crafted and hand made items. We have everything from stationary to terrariums, quilts to bath salts, and jewelry to wood décor. If you would like to sell your handmade items at LiveEdge, please contact us.
